Collier School Board weighs hiring attorney separate from superintendent’s

The district put out a request for proposals late last year for outside legal services for the Collier County School Board. The board decided that it needed its own counsel for some issues when Fishbane might have a conflict because he also would be representing Thompson and the district.
But while the School Board members seemed comfortable with Fox and his firm representing them, board Chairwoman Kathleen Curatolo said she wasn’t comfortable with interviewing just one firm.
